Wednesday In Tucson.... Japanese Christmas Cards

I save Christmas Cards my Japanese family sends me and set them out every year.
Beautiful, clever, funny, pop-up and usually musical they are wonderful.

I set them out on the buffet in the dinning/living room every year.

Instant decorations so festive

and very easy way to get in the Christmas spirit.

I have shown this one before, Santa and woodland animals are standing in front of a Christmas tree. It is my favorite, a very sweet and darling card.
The blue lights twinkle as they travel down the tree. Push the button on the bottom right and the card plays three Christmas songs in a row.

The lights in the tree blink and the Santas twirl. This card plays 12 songs.
My son wrote,
"be thankful you don't have a crazy kid around to press the play button non-stop like me !

This one has several pop out layers of Osaka there are 75 tiny Santas running around.

Among the Japanese cards I have several cards drawn by my wonderful daughter,
a few artist friends and tucked in here and there is one from
Titus and Pat my UK connection.

I love Christmas Cards !

  4. Very charming cards. The Japanese do Christmas well.

Having said that, I'm not quite sure I get the one with the crab.

    1. The Osaka card has all the famous city sights of the city.
The crab is very well know as the Tower is. I despise the clown but he is gone now I think ?
So it is just the sights with lots of Santas running around.
Osaka is a wonderful city with great people and I really like it better that Tokyo.
