When walking in the Roykan, you use slippers and Yukata (robe) from the Roykan durning your stay. If you wish to walk outside you can slip on some Geta ( outdoor shoes) to walk around in while leaving your slippers inside to stay clean.
Eryl... You even wear them to dinner... I didn't but my two sons did and looked fabulous.
Carole... I just had to take that picture. I thought it so great and the little shoes are so sweet. I really want to have my home set up to leave your shoes at the door and wear slipper in the home. It leaves the tracking in of so much outside stuff outside were it belongs. In American it is hard but in Japan it is normal and I like it.
What a lovely idea, no need to take your own clothes with you!
ReplyDeleteI love the geta all lined up and ready to go.
