What big ears you have.

What big ears you have., originally uploaded by angryparsnip.

It has been so hot in Tucson... but we are having a cold wave starting
today ! only 100 and for the next week high 80's to low 90's.
Break out the sweaters !

When it gets really hot all the wild critters dig holes in the moist
wells around the citrus trees and lay in the shade of the trees.
I water early in the morning.
Any time you look outside you will see Quail, Doves, Ground Squirrels
and Bunnies just hanging out and cooling off in the damp soil.
Everyone usually hangs out together and really pays no attention to
each other but when the Javelinas come they usually have the space
all to themselves.

music . . . Come Away With Me, Norah Jones

  1. He really does have very big ears!

My son bought himself a Canon power shot (?) just as tiny as a point and shoot but with full manual control, very high quality pictures, I'm so envious!

  2. He looks so cool - in every sense.
One would imagine Japan a good place to buy a camera but don't risk losing your cane. I know what a boon they are.

  3. Eryl...

The ears are about as big as the body and I have seen them even bigger. Better to hear the bad guys who want to eat them.
I have heard about the Cannon but I have to wait and see how much money I can spend... In fact my little camera is looking better and better ! In fact I am thinking it is working just fine !

    Pat...

First the Quail dig a hole in the soft dirt and after they leave the Bunny hops in.
I always travel with two canes they fold up, can't walk without them

  4. This is a great photo! even if he's well camouflaged. I love watching the rabbits around your house do the "dig and flop"
