  1. Wow--that's just beautiful. I've never seen the saguaro bloom. Maybe someday, although I'm not sure I could cope with 103 degrees!

  2. I love the Saguaro...the blooms are so beautiful it is one of my favorite cactus.
Right now they are just about finished blooming and the fruit has appeared, so there is now a bird on every Saguaro eating.

  7. Just scanned your whole blog. Great pictures. Love your dogs. I have a Miniature Schnauzer granddog that I absolutely adore. Looks a little like your square cuties.

You asked about my comment on Eryl's blog. I should do a whole post about it, but since some of my ex-in-laws read my blog, I guess I can't.
I married a fellow singer from Opera Workshop in college. We had a recital instead of a reception. We were late for our own recital because we were so anxious to see what all the fuss was about. Turns out it wasn't all it was cracked up to be so it would have been better if we (not everybody at the reception) had just shot each other.
2nd marriage: ex-alcoholic - they NEVER recover - you do the math, be sure to add the shooting.
    THE END

I learned as a child that the Saguaro doesn't put out and "Arm" till it is 100 years old but lately I have heard 75 years.... they are slow growers.
