Fires, javelinas, roadrunners, and thehamish

Fires everywhere.
High temperatures and hot winds.
When you have a week of super hot temperatures then have 115 to 118
for several days the earth just can not cool off.
Days are just hot. So when I say 102 on Monday would be cooler,
it really was 107, to us that was cool and much need drop.

Javelinas dig up the cool damp earth and try to cool off.
There are two on the left and one more on the right a baby is behind the tree next to her Mum.

These two are in the pond.

Samurai Pet Armor

Prepare your dog and cat for battle.
The Fukuoka based Samurai Armor is lightweight but as they said
your pet will probably not be protected from any katana strikes,
they will at least feel badass and comfortable.

Oliver getting use to his lead.
I think he would look great in the red armor.
.

For your mid week pretty.
thehamish on his monsoon rain cloud pillow of softness.

Yes please.

...
.
We have been at the vet everyday. Because we do not want and can not leave him there.
He is crumbling and fading fast. Back for another treatment and some tough
talk. In 2 weeks he has deteriorated very fast, all his testes are wonky.
When the more test come back today we will know more.

My heart is breaking into a million pieces.
Not much I can do but wait and see.

cheers,  parsnip

  3. Oh Gayle - your last paragraph brought tears to my eyes - poor darling Hamish - and poor you. It is the down side of owning dogs - their lives are not as long as ours and we have to suffer losing them. It has happened to me many times and it never gets any easier, and I never ever forget any of them. Give him a hug from me.

  11. I'm very sorry to hear that The Hamish's health is failing. It makes me so sad for you and him. He always looks so bright eyed and waggy-tailed in his blog pictures. I am hoping for the best outcome possible for you and The Hamish.

  13. Hi, Gayle!

My heart breaks for you as thehamish continues to age and decline. It is hard, very hard, to watch this happen to a beloved pet. If thehamish is anything like my Toto, he will bounce back a couple of times. I hope that will be the case. Regardless, my thoughts and prayers are with you in the coming days, weeks and months.

It is hard to believe that temps of 102 or 107 would feel like a cool snap to you. I think I already told you that Mrs. S and I experienced 111 degrees during our trip across Arizona in July 2014. Anything higher than that is unimaginable.

    God bless, dear friend!
