Monday maddness...

What a last few days, do not want to go through that heat again.
On Saturday it was 118. I was making sure all the wild animals had water.
Plus I had the outside my fenced yard, big sprinklers on twice
to help cool the plants and animals off.
We had so many super hot days leading up to Friday/Saturday the
earth had no time to cool off.
On Saturday evening at 9:25 when I went to bed it was 102.
Sunday morning at 9:30 it was 92 already.
Today it is suppose to be 102. I hope so we need the cooler weather.

 Looking east Sunday evening

Looking west at the very hot looking sunset.

I just love all the shadow photos I have taken of thehamish.

Ruler of the whole world and beyond Merida on son's bed.

 Naughty Oliver in thehamish pillow,

The weirdest photo of one of thehamish's yawns.

 .
As always just because I can here is your pretty for the start of the week.
Or not !

.
I have posted this before but this is how I have been feeling in the hot hot hot summer days.

cheers,  parsnip

    1. It has always been hot here but in 72 years I have lived here off and on, it has been getting so much hotter. Last year it was not this hot. We locals know to do things early or late.
The afternoon is for working at your job or inside the home. We all know who are the tourist are.

  2. Scary to think that 102 can be called cooler.

  3. We have damnable heat here too. I just can't function when it is hot. But, 118 is definitely too hot.

    2. It is too hot but I have AC so I am good. I try to help the animals around here because of the sun and heat. We are destroying their habitat, I am trying to help just a bit.

    3. Yes, I feel sorry for those in CA that don't have AC. I think they go to museums or McDonald's.

  7. I just saw the weather forecast for your area. And the fires.

I'll bet Hamish, Merida and Oliver are happy to be indoors, too!

  8. Thought about you while watching the national weather reports! The MITM was out in L.A. right as the recent heat wave was happening, but fortunately our daughter had AC and it was working! Stay cool, sweetpea. ;) xoxo

  9. Hope you are drinking lots of liquids and staying inside in the cool. The sky photos are wonderful but Hamish and his cats are the ones I love!

  10. We had 93 in England last week. Most unusual and most places don't have A/C. It was humid too which made it harder. I think 118 would do for me. Hope your weather cools down soon. I bet the animals don't like it either!

    1. To me 93 in England is awful much like our 118.
Hope your rain comes and cools everyone down.

    1. It does look like a potato but it is the fruit of a prickly pear plant.
