Cedar Creek Fire Update

A very quick Tuesday update. Arizona is hot and burning !

.
All these Cutie Pies are now at the shelter that son volunteers at.
The Cedar Creek fire is growing and the White Mountain Humane Society
needed help.
I want to adopt them all.  Such sweet faces and waggie tails.

cheers,  gayle

  1. Frightening. The southwest needs a good week or two of rain, and cooler temperatures.

    1. The clouds are trying to build up for the monsoons but summer rains are so destructive.
      But we need rain.

  2. Hi, dear Gayle!

My heart goes out to those wonderful animals and all the people who have been affected by the fire and the heat wave. I pray that no animal will be left behind and that they all find forever homes.

  3. I'm not allowed in animal shelters, I always want to take someone home. Stay safe, you and the Hamish.

    1. Me too. On the first two occasions we visited a shelter to make a donation, we came home with a dog each time. With space at a premium, we eventually had to put the money in an envelope and post it, otherwise we would have been over run !

  4. I was worried that we'd have fires here, but we got a couple of serious soakings. I think we're okay for now. It's so hot in Arizona.

    Love,
    Janie

  8. We have extreme heat here but nothing like what you're having, Gayle. I'm happy to hear you're safe and all of the critters have been taken care of. I have no use for the Humane Society, but....

    1. I know you were not treated well by the HS and I thought about it before I posted this.
Hope your OK and this didn't bring back more sadness to you.

  9. I have never had a dog from an animal rescue place Gayle because I just don't think I could bear all those pleading eyes - I would want to take them all.
