What a dramatic view you have from your windows!
ReplyDeleteHamish has such a sweet expression. I`m sure he ( and you) must miss his much loved old friend. It is hard to lose them.
Our weather always seems to be dramatic.
Deletethehamish is having a very hard time.
I'm not surprised he misses Watson. Probably every bit as much as you do, Gayle.
ReplyDeleteAs you know from all your sweet little ones especially your Sam.
DeleteIt is just too hard.
I don't like the rain anymore than you do, Hamish. If only it rained between midnight and six in the morning.
ReplyDeleteWet feet no good !
DeleteWhat wonderful views Gayle!
ReplyDeletehappy New Year to you and the Hamish
Gillx
I am so lucky to be here.
DeleteBrrr, I'm with the Hamish, I don't like getting my feet wet either.
ReplyDeleteWet feet in the summer, good
DeleteWet feet in the winter, bad.
Yesh...this morning the Pip decided the lawn was much too damp for her little feeties and decided (while my back was turned) to take a shortcut and tinkled on the welcome mat at the front door instead. *sigh* I sternly reminded her that Cairn Terriers are from the highlands of Scotland and should be undaunted by wet and cold...but she did not care. *double sigh*
ReplyDeleteTell dear Hamish we're all very much missing Watson too. X
Little feet sometimes don't remember their history. Running through the wet should be fun ? ? ?
DeleteOi! How thehamish doth suffer. Franklin and Penelope don't like the wet ground, either. When Lake Junebug fills up, they have to dog paddle for their lives. Please tell thehamish that Franklin and Penelope and I miss Watson. We are sad for thehamish and think he should have more chikin'. The only real solution to Harper's death was mourning and then adding Penelope to our little family. Goodnight, thehamish. Good night, Gayle.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie, Franklin, and Penelope
We are looking for a friend, but since thehamish was attacked by a big dog and really hurt he doesn't like big dogs.
DeleteI want to adopt an old old old gud dug that needs a nice home. But where I live it is all pitbull mixes that are too strong for me.
Then that makes me sad and sad and more sad.
Waves of sadness just rolls over me.
We will work it out somehow.
I know the waves of sadness. I found Penelope online with a find a pet web site. I applied to adopt her, was accepted, and had to go to Georgia to pick her up. I don't ever want to go to Georgia again, but going there for Penelope was worth it.
DeleteI am trying to find Watson's Mum.... to see if she has or knows of any older Scotties.
DeleteIf not Son wants to drive to Texas to adopt an older Scotty.
Living where I do it is hard to find any smaller dog, beside chihuahuas,
No Thank You !
I didn't realize you'd lost Watson, but had a bad feeling when I saw that you'd signed a comment on my blog from you and thehamish. I'm so very sorry. Our pets aren't just our pets; they're our babies, and you love your babies so much, you've made all of us love them, too.
ReplyDeleteI started looking through some of your past posts to see if I could find out anything about Watson, but what I did find is one post where you mentioned growing up Polish Catholic. As in Polish National Catholic? My hubby and I were married in the Polish National Catholic church, but when we moved down to Georgia, found out the closest PNC church is in Florida. (A wee bit too far of a commute...)
Again, I'm so sorry about Watson. Give thehamish an extra hug. And, of course, a couple pieces of chicken.
The new format has made it harder to find older post but I think I wrote 3 posts and the first one is Sunday September 6th 2015. A wonderful vet came to our home and freed him from his pain.
DeleteI still hear Watson in the home.
I am Roman Catholic but raised in a Polish neighborhood. In reality no difference from any other Roman Catholic Church.
Your family's Polish National Catholic Church is kind of an off shoot ? I think.
But who cares we all talk to our God in our own way.
Fabulous views, I love watching the weather pass by from the warmth and shelter of my home. Harry doesn't mind what the weather is doing, he'll go out in anything.
ReplyDeletePoor you and Hamish missing Watson, I hope the sadness passes soon enough, it takes a long time to get over and you never ever forget them. I lost my favourite cat Chilli this time last year and I'm still upset even as I type this.
Brilliant cartoon.
Need to check over to see your blog.
DeleteI have missed quite a few blogs I am having such a hard time lately catching up.
Sorry about your kitty It is all so hard.
What a hard worker Hamish is! Look at all that paper!
ReplyDeleteAnd what a lovely place you live in. The skies are beautiful!
He is such a huge help.
DeleteNight night Hamish - and stay out of the rain!
ReplyDeleteYes, he will only stay out as long as he has to.
DeleteGod bless, he thehamish! I've been showing your pictures to Mrs. Shady and she agrees with me that thehamish and Watson are the two most photogenic dogs we have ever seen. I only wish the they could still romp and play together. Seems nothing much pleases thehamish except getting fed some chikin. Cherish every moment with him. I'm sure you do, Gayle.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your weekend and God bless!
thehamish loves his chkikin !
DeleteI giggled all the way through till the part about missing watson which brought a lump to my throat. Hope it stops raining there soon but the pics of the weather are very dramatic x
ReplyDeleteOh I am sorry... Watson just keeps sneaking in my post
DeleteIt's wet, wet, wet here as well (SW France) and The Setter gets a filthy undercarrage and generally dislikes the subsequent clean up.
ReplyDeleteOn a sartorial note, does thehamish wear his hearty red collar upside down as a deliberate statement? Lesley
Son put the collar on thehamish. I never really know how to put the hearts on him.
DeleteI usually have the point pointing down. Is there a right way ?
What wild cloudage! Hamish keeping busy inside- what a good boy.
ReplyDeletethehamish is a huge help.
DeleteMy George doesn't like wet paws either. The Hamish is so cute. I know he really misses Watson and I hope you can find the right gud dug soon to join your pack!
ReplyDeleteWe are looking for a friend !
DeleteOh my, snow! Brrrrr. It's been raining here a lot, but we haven't seen snow...yet.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good boy thehamish is, working so hard to help you. The drawing is so sweet..I know thehamish is missing Watson a lot. Stay warm and have a wonderful new week ahead xoxo
We have lots of fun inside it is easier for him to play toss.
DeleteGood dog...
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
i thehamish is a gud dug
DeleteGreat photos of Hamish. I like the ones where he is working hard with the papers. Snow no, not here but rain yes lots.
ReplyDeleteI am waiting for Spring.
Regards,
Roos

ReplyDeleteYou need another sunny cruise without the bad weather.
