The Weight | Featuring Robbie Robertson | Playing For Change

One of my favorite blogs posted this on Sunday.

Starts off with my all time wonderful drummer RINGO !
Great song, great feeling made my day.

Plus thank goodness for smart Arizonans, we never changes our clocks.
Our time stays the same no back and forth. It is quite wonderful.
The last two years I lived in California I had the hardest time getting
over the time change. Life is so much better without all this messing about.
Hawaii never changes their time either. Two very smart States.

    1. No time change is the best. Does Tess have to reset her Walks Times ?

  2. Such a great song. I really enjoyed listening to it.

I wouldn’t minding changing to just Daylight Saving time all year round. I go in the dumps when we go back to Standard Time. It is dark so very early and I don’t do well with limited sunlight.

  3. Hi, Gayle!

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this masterpiece performance of "The Weight" by the song's composer, Robbie Robertson of The Band. Robbie, a Rock And Roll Hall of Famer, is half Mohawk Indian and half Jewish. I can't listen to this great song without remembering its use in the soundtrack of Easy Rider.

My body clock has not yet made the adjustment to the time change. Mrs. Shady and I both wake up and get up at 4-something in the morning now. You are fortunate not to have to put up with the hassle.

Have a wonderful week, dear friend Gayle!

  4. I figured you would like this post being such a music person.
That is too early to get unless you have a puppy.

  6. It’s really nice that you don’t have to change the clock. I can handle fall back but have hard time with spring forward every year. My kitties don’t like fall back ‘cause their meals will be late :-)

  9. I like that version of the tune.

I despise the clock change and wish we'd just stay with standard time.

  10. Yep. Changing the clocks makes as much sense as cutting a piece off the bottom of a blanket and sewing it onto the top.

  11. Oh time changes are such a pain. Suddenly it's dark in the evenings.

  12. How we wish NH would jump on the "leave the clocks alone" bandwagon! Dottie is confused and so am I as to why we must keep up this nonsense.

I LOVED the world wide inspired video of 'The Weight' with Robbie leading the charge. Couldn't wait to share it with the hubs. One of our favorites! X

  13. The time change doesn't mess with me,
but I'd love to see it gone.
We just don't need it. No one does.
But I tell you, it really messes with our dogs.
They are timed here with meals and so the time change
messes with them at first. It's a little funny how Bug gets.
