How can someone this cute be so naughty.
The Mandibles of Doom !
Just look at the needle teeth.
Woe oh woe is me !
as thehamish would say.

No no no no here he is !

Oh hell here he comes !

The last Bark Box with thehamish name on it came.
This month's box was full of Space Aliens in honor of the Eclipse ?

spacealiens phiff

 winston will protect the earth
but first chkikin'

can only be thinkin' of chkikin'
must protect chkikin'
chkikin' gudgud gud

 Last walk before bedtime...
He likes to stand by the light and waits for the bugs to fly in so he can eat them.
.
bugies is tastin' like chkikin' bugs is gud chkikin' gud
winston is gud

 Another early morning sunrise.
Well, if I am up I might as well take a photo.

........

As always here is your pretty to start the week.

.
Two blooms on a Cholla Cactus.
I like the flatness of this photo.
.

At the Emergency Hospital that we rushed thehamish to that last very early morning,
they said to us that they made a paw print for us that they would send later.
I assumed it would be a ink print like the Pet Cemetery gave us.
A package came in the mail and when I opened it...  a heart was inside.
It means so much for us to have both these little sweet footprints.

.

Thank You all for the cards and comments.
You can never know what they all mean to me.

It makes me so happy to know my Little Square Black Dogs
have touched so many people around the blog world.
They were wonderful, lovely, happy, sweet gud dugs.
I think I hear them walking about the home.
.
I have just started to read some blogs and comment, I hope to be back soon.
For for now I am just trying to catch up with my life.

cheers,  parsnip
woof !

  1. Hi, Gayle!

I can tell that Winston aka Mandibles of Doom is a frisky one. I'm happy to know he loves chkikin' as much as thehamish did, and even enjoys eating bugs that taste like chkikin'. Winston is also a photogenic pup and I look forward to watching him grow and get into all kinds of mischief. Your readers can and do develop an attachment to your square dogs, Gayle. I can testify to it.

I admire your skyscapes and cactus blooms. Have a nice weekend, dear friend!

  2. What a cutie and those teeth are sharp. I still have little white scars over the back of my old hands from Emmy's sharp teeth. She still likes to get in my lap occasionally and play "get my nose," like she's biting it. It is comforting to me that you were able to get through Ham's passing. Don't know what I'll do when my little girls go. They are both eleven now.

    1. Watson was 17 and thehamish 15 (I think).
Well you cry lots and then cry some more. I take comfort that Watson and thehamish are together again.

  4. Winston. What a great name! And so cute with his toothy smile! He looks like a puppy? He'll never replace Watson or the Hamish, but he'll carve out his own space in your heart. Looks like he's as much of a chicken lover as they were. I know both the little square dogs are looking down and approving.

  9. Gayle I've just been having a catch up and am so sorry to read about thehamish. You will miss him terribly but it looks like you will have a lot of distraction with Winston. How thoughtful of the pet hospital to send that lovely heart momento.

  12. The heart with thehamish's paw print in it is a wonderful memento for you. I've never heard of a hospital doing that before, but I have a feeling the folks at the hospital were very attached to your sweet boy, too. Looking back, when I had to take our last dog to the vet for that final visit, it meant a lot to me that the vet had tears in his eyes, too.

You've probably seen it before, but I have to ask anyway. Have you seen the youtube video of the Scottie Pinwheel? It's guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Have a super weekend. Keep cool!
