Watson and I want to thank everyone for the kind words and encouragement.
Woof !
Em (her cat) and Dan ( paper covering Cushings research) both commented and gave me some good information on Cushing and Kidney disease in animals.
Blog friends are the best !
You all are the best !

ReplyDeleteChocolate, on the other hand, uh uh!
Watson and Hamish look as distinguished as ever...
Once or twice a year I will have a slice of Chocolate Cake mostly at Christmas but I can pass on all the others. In fact I have been known to chop off the chocolate from box chocolates and just eat the fillings.
DeleteI am a firm believer that we like what is not good for us. We shall see if I start feeling better.
No chilies! The unfairness!
ReplyDeletehahahahahaha... so unfair, most of the food I eat has some sort of chili in it.
Deleteoh well, if I feel better it will be worth it.
fabulous pictures of the boys! now that Watson has a super special diet my head is spinning with all the allergies and exceptions! in the end we are all just special snowflakes <3

Hello Gayle:
ReplyDeleteThis really does sound something of s strict regime for you all. But, as always, prevention is better than cure.
Well over the years I have given up food because of migraines. So this is just another day in my life.
DeleteSo sorry about Watson. My cat Harley was 16 when he was diagnosed with a disease. I decided not to treat it and he lived two more years. His quality of life was really good (way better than if he to do the treatments). Hope Watson has a great day (and you too!)
ReplyDeleteYes, I am trying to give him a good life... hammie too with his bladder problems, already one operation put the lens replacment.
DeleteWell done! You deserve complete success for being so diligent with all your diets.
ReplyDeleteHow I wish someone not a million miles away from me could be so sensible. Ho hum!
After awhile you and it gets to be a huge bore but what some more food I can't eat. I really should be alot thinner fron all teh foods I don't eat... le sigh !
DeleteYou're very welcome. I hope it all works and that he's feeling well and happy! x
ReplyDeleteWatson had a very bad night and I am keeping him very quiet today.
DeleteHave to agree it sounds like you're very busy in the kitchen and I also agree Hairball looks very innocent over on Shelly's blog! Big hugs to your boys!
ReplyDeleteHe did look like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth... who me ? look.
DeleteGood luck to the three of you with your diets! I know that Cushings can be managed well in horses so I hope it`s the same with square dogs ( who may become round dogs....).
ReplyDeleteI am hoping too but... I am not really treating the Cushings because of his age and I don't want his last years (?) to be filled with testing. There are problems with the treatment for dogs. Dan sent me a really good link on a very simple treatment that has seem to work. But I am dealing with his Kidneys with his new diet.
