Clouds moving west from my home toward the Tucson Mountains, OroValley and Marana
Hello:Two very amazing and totally dramatic images. We do hope that the rain, surely welcome, will be an asset and not a hindrance.
Really strong.I take it the dust storm I heard about didn't get near you?
Jane and Lance...Winter rains are the ones that sink in and nourish the land. The Summer storms are fabulous to watch but can be destructive. William...Phoenix get at lest one big dust storm a summer. This one was really huge. The winds that zoomed by my home at 60 to 77 miles an hour just picked up speed and dust (no winter rains) and flew over the flat land between the mountains of Tucson and headed towards the flat city of Phoenix. The city is stilled cover n dirt.Tucson is surround by mountains and is usually cooler and more protected. So the winds flew by me but no dust storm damage, thank goodness !
