Monsoons are back. . . These clouds, toward the North-East, were taken
on Monday evening. The rain storm is on the bottom left.
I love the Twilight hour. Everything gets that soft lavender glow and
it gets really quiet right before it turns dark, you can almost hear
the earth sigh before evening starts.
I just read about a twilight term called " The time between dog and
wolf " it seem when twilight comes you can't tell one from another,
I think this is so true.

'Just a song at twilight,
ReplyDeleteWhen the lights are low,
And the twisting shadows,
Seem to come and go.'
Do you remember that old song?
PI...
ReplyDeleteYes I remember that song, love it . . . I always think Hoagy Carmichael sang it but. . .
I know he wrote and sang Stardust, Georgia On My Mind and Heart and Soul and was in all the movies from the 40's and 50's
I think the French, you would know better than me, have a saying. . .L'Hevre Bleue. . . sounds so beautiful and a perfume is named that too but I have never found it.
I loved Hoagy's 'Buttermilk sky'
ReplyDeleteGuerlain's L'heure bleu was my friend Diana's mother's perfume and we once helped ourselves to a squirt and I felt so guilty afterwards.
This photograph is making me think, 'Caravaggio': it's so beautiful and sultry.
