Sunday Morning Rain Storm !

Sunday Morning at 6:30 the dogs and I were outside before the storm blew in.
It has been raining off and on all Sunday.
So Happy !

Looking east,

then north east,

north

to the west.

Just one big circle  of rain.
I didn't take any photos to the south, whoops !

Security Scottie iwinston in on the job.
He always starts here when making his rounds.

Always watching and working hard.

iwinston has even recruited Truffles to help, sometimes.

......

Here is your pretty to start the week.

iwinston's footie print.

Quiet last evening walk in the backyard.  When it is dark we have to keep an eye on the dogs.
We need be sure no Javelinas, Coyotes, Bobcats or Mountain Lions are passing by
looking for dinner.
.

Monday morning.
Storms come and then go and leave bright clear skies and
wonderful fragrant air filled with scents of the desert.

cheers.  parsnip and badger

  1. What beautiful photographs Gayle - they show your house, garden and surrounding area to be so lovely - and your dog too of course.

  3. Hi, Gayle!

I'm glad you got some rain followed by fresh, clean, fragrant air and blue skies. That's a spectacular view of the mountain beyond your wall! Florida is ready to get hit by a hurricane this week but it won't be landing in my vicinity.

It's nice to see Winston and his faithful sidekick Truffles outside on patrol duty. Your house looks beautiful by day or by night.

Have a wonderful week, dear friend Gayle!

    1. When I first moved into this home, Watson and thehamish on one side of the the fence, double teamed a beautiful coyote. They were here first so I leave most of my land wild with a very small yard for the gud dugs and pool.

  6. Beautiful photographs of the stormy sky.
I like seeing your pups too.
Those certainly some things to watch out for at night.
Our night walk concerns this time of the year would be skunk.
Once the frost comes we won’t have to fret about skunk as much.
I too enjoy the fresh air fragrance after a storm . . .

  7. Wow incredible sky! Glad you are getting some rain :-) It’s been dry here but seems that this is going to be a wet week. Winston is doing such a great patrolling job! And Truffles must be a very good assistant :-)

  8. The most 'dangerous' intruder in our garden is the neighbours' cat - dangerous to the little birds who come to feed at the bird table and a pain in the wotsit for Daisy who knows it is her job to chase out the predator.

We have no wild creatures who could attack her, thank goodness, I'm not sure I can imagine what it is like for you having to look out for creatures who could attack the dogs? I suspect I would worry myself into knots . . .

    1. No worries you just learn to live with the wildlife. I grew up here in the wild wild west.
