Scottie ramp

Square Dog Friday
Best day of the week so lets woof it !

.
Winston knew I had a cookie in my hand and wanted it first.

I had the ramp built for Hamish when he became so ill.
Plus I didn't want him jumping up on the bed. This is one
of his better days. He used the ramp all the time.
I miss him every day.

I put openings in the side walls for the cats to play and sleep in  but. . .

 cats being cats. . .
Merida likes being the Queen !

She loves rubbing her chin on the walls.
Oliver runs under the bed to escape anything.
He is the true Scaredy Cat !
.

  1. Poor dear old Hamish - sad to see his photographs yet a lovely reminder of what a dear dog he was Gayle. But how comforting to have yet another Scottie - not to take his place but to be there for you. xx

  4. Beautiful views and what a nice ramp. I got stairs for the weenies before my surgery and the turds won't use them. Should have just flushed the money down the toilet.

    1. When Daughter had a Dachshund (4 back operations later) she had no stairs in the home only ramps. Even to the front door not even 2 stairs,

  5. Love the tower, I'm surprised that Merida hasn't taken it over completely. Got your card from you and iWinston---so thoughtful. Counting days till we leave. I will save as we fly over Arizona.

  6. That ramp set-up is terrific. I'm sure Hamish appreciated it, and now the others are getting to enjoy it, too. I had to laugh when you said what you "hoped" the cats would do with it. Cats do what they want to do. Ours have a thing for cardboard boxes. I have a feeling if we built them an ultra cool condo kinda gizmo for cats, they'd still want to lay in and on a box.

    Have a super weekend.

  7. Hi, Gayle!

Thank you for visiting my new site, dear friend! I invite you to click to subscribe or bookmark so that you can follow me there. The new address is: tctgyb.blogspot.com.

Meanwhile, I am happy to be return here and catch up on your square dog adventures. It was great to see my old buddy thehamish again. I miss him, too! It's soon time for me to retrieve the picture of hamish draped in strings of Christmas lights and use it as my desktop background as I did last year.

Our dog Toto used to hop in our bed and sleep with us every night. When she developed arthritis we placed an ottoman next to the bed which enabled her to make the two leaps necessary to land in bed. After a while she couldn't manage that and so we bought her a comfortable doggy bed and positioned it next to ours. That is where she slept the rest of her life. I am happy to see that your animals make use of the ramp.

I hope you will post more pictures taken on the south side of your house. It's another spectacular view!

Have a wonderful weekend, dear friend Gayle!

    1. Daughters dog 13+ is now living with me for awhile. Truffles is the dog she rescued. I know I wrote about her, she was the dog someone tossed out the window and hurt her back. She was unadoptable so Daughter adopted her. She is so sweet but was abused and had a hard life does not know how to be a dog and has lots of anxieties did not like men till she met Son and we have all worked with her. She is very loved.
I am still looking for a crazy friend for iwinston.

  9. How lovely that Hamish's ramp is being enjoyed by so many gud dogs and cats! Here's a boffo idea! The tall artist who feeds them creates a plaque to display on the ramp to commemorate the unforgettable Hamish!

    1. I love the ramp. Truffles is not really dog friendly. She knows the Scotties from years ago but she is not playful, sometimes Winston can snuggle in
