Snow for Christmas, Tucson style.

Woke up early on Christmas morning and saw snow on the foothills
out my bedroom window.
It was mostly all gone later in the day, where I could see but lots of snow
higher on Mt. Lemon and the Catalina mountains.

This is early snow for us. when we do get our rain and snow in Tucson
and the mountains is at the end of January and February.
Today it will be about 60, bright blue skies and no clouds.
...

.

Winter is fun in Tucson, a little rain some snow and lots of warm days
filled with bright blue skies.

  1. Hi, Gayle!

What a marvelous sight from your window, those mountain peaks with a light dusting of snow and the clouds hanging low just above them. This must indeed be a delightful time of year to live in your desert community.

I don't think I ever saw a picture of Watson wearing a cap. He does look handsome, dignified and important. So does thehamish in his picture.

Thank you for your friendship and support in 2016, dear Gayle. I wish you, the hamish and your kitties a safe, healthy and happy 2017!

  2. Looks so pretty there. It is 70 here today after the deep freeze of last week and my palms are blistered from planting bulbs. I am spreading coffee grounds atop the planted bulbs to try and keep the squirrels away from them. More still to do.

  3. Watson was an elegant hat wearer indeed! Thehamish looks a bit devilish and adorable in his chapeau' How lovely to have 60 degree temps and a dusting of snow to admire in the distance. We have sleet and freezing rain coming in tonight. Blech. X

  6. The dramatic variety of the views from your home are so beautiful! I would gaze, and daydream, and study clouds and perhaps even sketch or paint all the time. (Except for when it was time for sleep, breakfast, lunch or supper.)

Dogs wearing hats are so charming.

New Year, with its promises, draws closer and closer.

I'm ready to accent the positive! xo
