Square Dog Friday...

Wild Animals...

Lots of wild animals !
Just resting in the sun waiting for food.
It is a very hard life, chasing down the next meal.
Or if you are a Square Dog, just waiting for their human persons to gently, quietly and very quickly place a chicken strip or bacon in front of them.
After all it is winter and their little feet can get cold running after dinner.
Better to just wait in the sunlight, stay warm and wait for food to be dropped near very near.
Must not exert oneself too much.
Watson... awww the sun feels so good on my old bones.

    1. You are so right ... some are more wild.
I am very protective of all the wild animals around me and try not to interact too much with them.
      They were here first.

  3. I think most of us have had our comment section redesigned this week. Hopefully it will revert to the old system in a few days. Exertion and scottie dogs are not words to be seen in the same sentence it seems.

    1. I am getting use to new comment redesign... still having problems commenting on some blog although.
Yes, the Scotties are rather spoiled but they are always ready to play or go for a walk.

    1. Oh Please, do they ever realize how lucky they are.
But we do as they make our life so much better.

  6. Didn't know--what are they, exactly? Wart hogs? Wild bores?--were native to Arizona.

    1. They are Peccary, I have a childrens book that says... don't call me pig !
I have researched and done many posts on them...
While they are members of the same family (Suidae) th they are not pigs and possibly more related to the hippopotamus family.
I am born in the year of the Boar and have always loved them as a child growing up in Arizona. They are my tribe my people !

  10. The dogs look as dignified as always. And it always astounds me that those animals come so close to the house like that....
